Congratulations! You have reached the final rung on the academic ladder of success at Spelman. Commencement is the time for celebration of your academic success with family and friends. We are providing this one-stop area to help you prepare all the proper paperwork to make your day one of the most momentous in your life. 

As you prepare for graduation, there are several items that you must address in order to ensure clearance for receiving your diploma. Please note the information in the Graduation Checklist and check your academic record to ensure that it is accurate and complete. This is your responsibility; the Registrar’s Office will assist in identifying the source of resolution for any challenges you may have.

Dates To Remember

Friday, May 19 | 1:30 p.m.: Class Day (Spelman College)
Saturday, May 20 | 9 a.m.: Baccalaureate (Spelman College)
Sunday, May 21 | 3 p.m.: Commencement (Georgia International Convention Center)

All media must be credentialed to cover Commencement activities. The deadline to request media credentials is Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 12 p.m.

Commencement video will be available electronically for download on Sunday, May 21 after 9:30 p.m. and photographs will be available electronically on Monday, May 22 after 12 p.m.
