Freshmen Reaching Excellence with Spelman’s Help (FRESH)


Freshmen Reaching Excellence with Spelman’s Help (FRESH) is designed to engage students early in the career planning process.  Conventional wisdom might suggest that a student’s first year is too early to think about life after Spelman, but it is just the right time to begin plotting her career path.


  • Offered both semesters
  • Composed of 5 weekly sessions
  • All sessions are scheduled on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Selection Process

Participants are selected on a first-come, first-serve basis and is limited to 100 students.

Spelman Fresh Program


  • First-year students only
  • All majors welcome
  • No GPA requirement

  • Sept. 13: Student Internship Panel

  • Sept. 27: Student Summer Undergraduate Research Panel
  • Oct. 18: Alumnae Panel
