Submission Guidelines

L-I-N-K-E-D accepts submissions of poetry, short fiction, essays, interviews, photography, and artwork. L-I-N-K-E-D seeks inspired, original poetic expressions that address subjects from a fresh and innovative perspective. Please read all guidelines to ensure your work is correctly submitted.


Text Submissions
  • Simultaneous submissions and previous publications are accebtable. However, if your work is being considered for publication elsewhere you MUST indicate this in your e-mail. If your work is accepted elsewhere before you receive notice from L-I-N-K-E-D, please inform the editor immediately. Please note that once your work has been accepted by L-I-N-K-E-D it cannot be removed from the journal. If your work has been previously published, state where, when, and who holds the copyright.
  • Submissions sent in ALL CAPS will be discarded. We accept works of varying lengths, but not full (chapbook or book-length) manuscripts.
  • All text submissions should be sent via e-mail as attached Microsoft Word files.
  • Submissions should be sent to linked@spelman.edu. Send a brief bio including your full name and a short summary of publication credentials (if applicable).

Art/Photography
  • L-I-N-K-E-D seeks photography, drawings, paintings, sculpture or computer-generated art. Images must be easily rendered in digital format. L-I-N-K-E-D would prefer to receive files in jpg and gif formats. L-I-N-K-E-D cannot accept PDF files.
  • Art/Photo submissions should be sent as e-mail attachments to linked@spelman.edu. Be sure to include your full name, title(s) of your work, and biographical information. Please send no more than 4 files total per submission. Please include the files you wish to submit rather than simply specifying a webpage where your work can be found.
