politics, they have a passion for environmental justice. They are leaders

As a Spelman College graduate, Ms. Osborne comes
back to her former professor's class every year to teach new students
about environmental racism. Her passion for fighting against environmental
injustices developed after she lived in a small town in a part of Louisiana
between Baton Rouge and New Orleans known as “Cancer Alley,”
where chemical companies line the main road. Ms. Osborne now works for
the National Wildlife Federation and volunteers with the West Atlanta
Water Shed Alliance. By leading the WAWSA, she puts in countless hours
helping minority communities in the Atlanta area.
