Alumnae Profiles: Laurel Hord Hill, C'84
Laurel Hill is a senior vice president in the Government & Institutional Banking Group at Wells Fargo Bank. She is responsible for providing customized financial solutions to local governments, higher education institutions and non-profit organizations in the metro Atlanta area.
Mrs. Hill has more than 28 years of banking experience, including 25 years at Wells Fargo. Prior to joining the Government & Institutional Banking Group in 2005, she spent eighteen years in a variety of leadership positions within Treasury Services, including sales management and strategic development focused on several corporate industry segments. She has been a speaker at regional and national treasury management and accounting conferences. In addition, she has served as a faculty member of the UNC Treasury Management Series at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of California at Berkeley Treasury Management Program.
Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, Inc. where she is also Chair of the Finance Committee. In addition, she serves on the Boards of Operation HOPE, Inc. (Southeastern) and West Hunter Street Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hill received her Bachelor’s degree in economics, summa cum laude, from Spelman College, where she remains an active alumna. She also holds the designation of Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
She is married to the Rev. Dr. Toussaint K. Hill, Jr., Pastor of the historic West Hunter Street Baptist Church in southwest Atlanta. In Toussaint K.Hill, III and Thaddaeus K. Hill, they find endless joy, pride and hope for the future.
