Hope Harris, C'2012 is a native of New Mexico. She graduated from Spelman with a bachelor of arts in comparative women's studies on a disciplinary film track. Having grown up amidst New Mexico's blossoming film industry, Harris' love for film and performance art was ingrained in her at a very young age. When she was eight years old, she discovered her passion for acting; and since then, her life has been dedicated to pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.

Clara Stanton Jones, C'1934 entered the gates of Spelman College from St. Louis, Missouri, and focused her studies in English, while engaging in campus life through participation in the University Players, the Social Problems Club, the Spelman-Morehouse Chorus and the Spelman College Glee Club.

C’98, has never been a stranger to hard work, but this spring she achieved a Herculean feat, tested her physical limits, and broke down barriers when she successfully completed her first Absa Cape Epic, one of the toughest mountain bike races in the world. For eight days, Cape Epic participants ride in teams of two cycling over 440 miles through the mountain passes of Western Cape, South Africa. This year, Myers and her race partner, Rozilla Kumwana, made history as the first Black women to complete the grueling mountain bike event.
