Lashonda Council Rogers, C'99

Lashonda Council Rogers is the founder and owner of Council & Associates, LLC, an Atlanta, Georgia-based personal injury law firm.  Rogers has over a decade of extensive legal experience advising clients on a wide variety of matters.  Rogers is an accomplished litigator and respected member of the Atlanta legal community. Her years of experience have helped her become a skilled negotiator with the ability to provide highly effective legal counsel.

Prior to launching Council & Associates, LLC, Rogers worked at a corporate law firm where she advised clients on numerous issues, including, but not limited to, contractual disputes and land use conflicts. Rogers’ sole focus is now representing individuals who have been injured due to tractor-trailer accidents, vaccinations, and daycare center abuse. Rogers finds representing personal injury victims to be the most challenging, yet fulfilling, discipline in the practice of law.

Benefitting from her experiences serving both large and small corporate clients, Rogers developed an approach to serving clients that is personal and accessible for those who are making tough decisions for themselves or on behalf of their family members. She is recognized for her committed advocacy and her unique ability to understand the individual needs of her clients.  Former clients and fellow attorneys often refer legal cases to Rogers based on the fact that she achieves stellar results on behalf of her clients.

A native of Sumter, South Carolina, Rogers earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Economics from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. While attending Spelman, Rogers was a Bonner Scholar and Toyota Scholar.  Rogers went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C.  While at Howard, Rogers was a Legal Merit Fellow and a member of the Trial Advocacy Moot Court Team.
