Delia A. Adams, C'1980 Delia A. Adams assumed the rank of senior executive in March 2011 as director, Veterans Health Administration, Service Area Office – West, which was also her first assignment with Veterans Affairs beginning in July 2009. Adams entered Federal service in 1983 as a vice-presidential intern, with initial duty at McClellan Air Force Base, Sacramento, Calif.

Laurie Cumbo, C'1997 has won a seat on the New York City Council in District 35. Cumbo will be responsible for expanding and developing arts and cultural tourism in the 35th district and making better use of public spaces including parks. In addition to her city council duties, Cumbo is founder and executive director of the Museum of Contemporary African Diaspora Arts.

Jainaba Fye graduated in December 2013 with a degree in International Studies with a concentration in international development. From a young age, she recognized the importance of preserving the Earth and the importance of  living sustainably. While at Spelman, Fye served as a Sustainable Spelman Intern, Green For All College Ambassador, and Toyota Green Initiatives Ambassador. These opportunities allowed her to implement campaigns and initiatives serving minority communities that are disproportionately affected by environmental degradation.
