Admissions: Getting Into Spelman

Transfer Student Applicants

Anyone who has completed a high school diploma, or its equivalent, and has attended another college for at least one term as a degree-seeking student, will be evaluated as a transfer applicant.

Transfer admission to Spelman is selective and students applying must have earned fewer than 60 semester hours or the equivalent at their previous institutions. Applicants must be in good standing and eligible to return to their previous institutions.

Students with fewer than one year of attempted college credits as a full-time student (30 semester hours or the equivalent) must meet new first-time applicant eligibility as well as transfer requirements. Transfer applicants should specify a major other than undecided.

Please Note
: Limited space is available for transfer students, and some majors may not be available.

With your application for admission, please include the $35 online application fee, an official copy of your high school transcript and an official transcript from each post-secondary school attended, two recommendations from instructors, and your SAT or ACT scores, if transferring with less than 30 credits.
