At Spelman, we want to provide your students with information about the College that will help them decide if Spelman if the perfect fit for them -- we sure think so, and look forward to answering any questions you may have about quality educational experience Spelman has to offer.

Supplemental Materials/Supporting Documents

In addition to the online application, the following documents are required for new first-time (freshman) applicants to complete an application for admission:

  • Guidance Counselor Letter of Recommendation*
  • Teacher Letter of Recommendation*
  • Official Copy of SAT or ACT Scores - May be on the official high school transcript or received by the College Board or ACT
  • Official High School Transcript*
  • Student Resume (optional)
*These documents must be submitted directly from the high school and will not be accepted if submitted by the applicant.

Students who qualify for the Honors Program with a minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA and a combined SAT 1 score of 1160 for the critical reading and math sections will be invited to apply. Those who are invited will be required to submit an additional essay. The topic of the required essay will be provided in the invitation.
