WebCT 4.1 Technical Requirements

You must have access to hardware and software in order to access WebCT. The following indicates the minimum hardware and software required for a web based course.

Windows 98, 2nd Edition /2000/XP operating systems:
Netscape Navigator® 6.2.x and 7.0 browsers
Microsoft® Internet Explorer5.0, 5.5, and 6.0 browsers
AOL® 7.0 and 8.0 browsers

Mac OS 9.x operating system:
Netscape Navigator 6.2.x browser
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.1 browser

Mac OS X v.10.1.x operating system:
Netscape Navigator 6.2.x and 7.0 browsers
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.1 and 5.2 browsers
AOL for Mac OS X browser

Mac OS X v.10.2.x operating system:
Netscape Navigator 6.2.x and 7.0 browsers
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.2 browser
AOL for Mac OS X browser

Browser Compatibility
The Check Browser feature can be found in the menu bar at the top of the screen. This feature, when used, can automatically detect if your browser is compatible with WebCT.

IMPORTANT: WebCT 4.1 does not check the compatibility of service packs and software updates.
