Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
Your work
for the College may give you access to academic, personnel, or
budgetary information that is considered confidential. You are expected
to respect the confidentiality of such information and not disclose it
to anyone who does not have an official need for it. If you have any
question about the confidentiality of information entrusted to you or
to which you have access, ask your supervisor.
The Federal
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, also known as FERPA or the
Buckley Amendment, prohibits, with certain limited exceptions, the
release of information from a student's educational records unless the
student has given written consent. Questions about FERPA compliance can
be answered by the Registrar's Office or the Office of the Academic
Dean.
