FMS: Service Requests

Is it too hot or too cold in your office?

or call (404) 270-5440

FMS CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER

The FMS Customer Service Center is the communications hub for Facilities Management and Services. It handles well over 15,000 calls per year and receives all Lotus Notes database work requests.

FMS welcomes your requests for service and general inquiries (i.e., work order scheduling and status).

Please call FMS at (404) 270-5440 during our regular business hours --weekdays 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. .-- to report an emergency condition or other problem requiring immediate attention.

After regular business hours, call Spelman College Public Safety at (404) 525-6401 and they will contact the appropriate personnel.

A service request may be submitted to us in one of the following ways:

  • Log onto Facility MAX™ Customer Request System
  • Telephone: Call us at (404) 270-5440
  • Lotus Notes Database:  KEY REQUESTS ONLY
  • Facsimile: Fax your request to FMS at (404) 270-5441
  • Postal: Mail a memorandum to FMS, 350 Spelman Lane,
    Box 1158 Atlanta, GA 30314
  • E-mail: Send an e-mail request to
    lbaxter@spelman.edu and dwood@spelman.edu

    In Lotus Notes, please do not send e-mail requests to "Physical Plant" or "Facilities Management" as this will send an email to everyone in our department.

EMERGENCY CONTACT INFO:

For maintenance related emergencies such as busted water pipes, leaking faucets/toilets storm damage, etc. that occur during normal business hours (Mon. thru Fri. 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.), call FMS at (404) 270-5440. 

After normal business hours, call the Spelman College
Public Safety department at (404) 525-6401.

Emergency situations such as a crime, fire, medical emergency, etc. requiring the police or fire departments, ambulance/EMS, call Spelman College Public Safety at 404-525-6401 or dial extension 5328 from any campus system phone.

You may also use any campus emergency call box and follow the instructions given.
