The Women in Engineering -- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics program is a six-week academically intensive summer residential program held June 16-July 26, 2013, for entering first-year students who plan to major in science (chemistry, biochemistry, computer science, environmental science, physics), engineering or mathematics.
The purpose of the program is to help students develop their quantitative literacy by completing a college-level mathematics course and by conducting activities that introduce students to the field of engineering. The engineering modules will be facilitated by engineering faculty members or engineering professionals. Tutoring and other enrichment activities will also be provided. Only those students who will enter Spelman College in fall 2013 are invited to apply.
