Imagine Computer and Information Science Summer Camps
The Imagine Computer and Information Science Summer Camps are one- to two-week commuter camps designed to support students as they explore various real-world applications of computing. This year's camps are open to third- to 12th-graders.
Tracks to be offered this summer for third- through fifth-graders include STEM + CS Fun. Tracks to be offered for middle schoolers (sixth to eighth grade) include game design and robotics, and tracks to be offered for high schoolers (ninth to 12th grade) include game design, mobile app design, robotics, computers as artistic tools, computing and music, and computing and film production. The latter three tracks are new two-week additions to the camp, which will result in the production and launch of an ICIS Summer Mixtape.
Students may apply to the ICIS Summer Camps beginning Jan. 1, 2013. Partial scholarships are available for students who qualify. For more information, please email Jakita O. Thomas, Ph.D., director, at jthoma41@spelman.edu, or call her at 404-270-5880.
