New Requirement for First Year Mathematics Majors
MATH 200: Introductory Seminar in Mathematics (0 Credits)
All incoming mathematics majors (Class of 2010 and later) are required to complete MATH 200. Students are encouraged to take the course in their first year. The course meets once a week, and the course content will include strategies for developing good study habits in mathematics, problem solving techniques, use of mathematics software, mathematics careers, and professional development activities. The course is intended for first-year students, but sophomore and junior level students who are interested in taking the course should contact Dr. Stephens (Tapley 310, x5835). Any student who is considering mathematics as a major should also enroll in the course.
