The Writing Minor
Housed in the English Department, the Writing Minor is interdisciplinary in nature and structured to serve a spectrum of majors across the curriculum. It is open to any major and is built on the belief that students in all disciplines must refine their command of the written word if they are to succeed in graduate study or in the job market.
This minor, tailored to the needs to Spelman’s diverse student body, provides a necessary context for the development of technical writing skills, as well as for the use of writing as a form of personal, political, and/or artistic expression.
