Current Research
Zandra Jordan's research focuses on African American language and literacies, rhetoric and the Black Church, and faith and composition. Her forthcoming publications include "Students' Right, African American English, and Classroom Writing Assessment: Considering the HBCU" and "Calling Confessions: Understanding the Black Woman's Call to Ministry and Vocation."
Two of her current projects are "The Evidence of Things Not Seen: Faith and Persuasion in the Obama Era" and "Liberating Literacy: Re-Visioning the Link Between Literacy and Freedom in Douglass' 1845 Narrative."
