Dr. Foster-Singletary’s research interests include African American literature, American literature, popular culture, and country music. Her work has been published in MAMA Review and Obsidian: Literature in the African Diaspora. Her current project is an edited volume on the work of Spelman alumna Pearl Cleage, C'71. She joined the faculty of Spelman in 2009.
