Dr.Ola is an artist and an art historian. The notions and contestation of power is a major preoccupation of his professional engagement. He explored it in the popular media, leading African news publications, as an editorial cartoonist. It remains an abiding interest that subsequently led to his dissertation, “Critical Lines: The Parodies of Power in Yoruba Art.”
Dr. Ola has an interdisciplinary background; he works in digital and new media to enhance the pedagogy of traditional and contemporary African art history.
