The film examines the plight of a group of widows forced into poverty at a temple in the holy city of Varanasi. It focuses on a relationship between one of the widows, who wants to escape the social restrictions imposed on widows, and a man who is from the highest caste and a follower of Mahatma Gandhi.

Captain Nascimento has to find a substitute for his occupation while trying to take down drug dealers and criminals before the Pope comes to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

After entering a beauty contest in Tijuana, a young woman witnesses drug-related murders and is forced to do the gang's bidding. 

March 25 6:00 pm:  Japan, Harimaya Bridge
After the sudden death of his estranged son in rural Japan, an American man must go there to claim some important family items. While there, he discovers some secrets his son left behind.

March 26 6:30 pm:  France, Coco Avant Chanel
The story of Coco Chanel's rise from obscure beginnings to the heights of the fashion world.

March 27 6:00 pm:  China, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan
A story set in 19th century China and centered on the lifelong friendship between two girls who develop their own secret code as a way to contend with the rigid cultural norms imposed on women.

March 28 6:00 pm:  Spain, Even the Rain
As a director and his crew shoot a controversial film about Christopher Columbus in Cochabamba, Bolivia, local people rise up against plans to privatize the water supply.
