Dr. Xuexin Liu has published a comprehensive book on Studies of Classical Japanese and numerous research papers on historical Japanese, Japanese sociolinguistics, Japanese semantics and pragmatics, Japanese pedagogy, and comparative cultural studies of Japan and China. In addition, she has done several translation projects in the field of Asian studies.
Her current research projects are focused on Hip Hop’s global influence and its localization in Japan and China, Japanese-Chinese language and culture in contact, Japanese/Chinese language and gender, and addressing terms in Japan and China.
