Some of Dr. Chen's work includes optical components that are part of a new laser-based instrument used to study air pollutants.  New laser-based instruments and techniques are being developed in the Chen research group.  Some of these new techniques allow us to study systems that were previously considered too difficult to study using existing techniques.
