Women’s Health and Mortality Chartbook (pdf)

This Chartbook is a statistical resource for those who are interested in critical issues in women's' health. This document consists of 27 different health indicators that are being measured regularly at the state level. Data from all states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico are included in this Chartbook.

The first section of the Chartbook contains:
U.S. Maps for each of the 27 women's' heath indicators.
Each health indicator is summarized on a single map.

The second section of the Chartbook contains:
Women’s health profiles for each of the 50 states (and D.C. & P.R.)
Each profile has a brief summary that highlights how each state ranks on the indicator, and provides background information such as death rates, high risk factors, preventive care and heath insurance coverage. The third section provides sources of data, explanations of terms, analytic issues and references.
