Sustainable Spelman Interns

Kayla HunterKayla Hunter, C’2017
Kayla Hunter is a third-year student from Central New Jersey. She changed her major three times before realizing her passion for environmental studies. It was then that she learned the importance of sustainability and achieving environmental /social justice in underprivileged communities. She plans to focus on spreading awareness inside and outside of the Atlanta University Center as a proud intern at Spelman. 

Imani CrenshawImani Crenshaw, C’2017
Imani Crenshaw is a junior environmental science major with hopes of becoming a veterinarian. She appreciates the environment and hopes to use journalism and photography in her neighborhood to increase awareness about environmental discrimination and sustainability. 

Mia AndersonMia Anderson, C’2018
Mia Anderson is a sophomore English major who hopes to improve disadvantaged communities by using the art of communication and her passion for sustainability to address environmental equity. As a member of the Environmental Task Force, she aims to spread awareness throughout the Spelman community.

Krista MontgomeryKrista Montgomery, C'2017
Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Krista is a junior at Spelman College who has a passion for environmental science and social justice. As an environmental science major and public health minor, Krista aims to help people become environmental stewards both on and off campus.
