Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)
Spelman Going Global! is designed to enhance student learning in all study-travel experiences by developing student intercultural competencies and putting in place an improved infrastructure to support all global programs and initiatives to bring about these intercultural competencies.
While each study-travel program has its specific learning outcomes, students will participate in activities intended to help them achieve two learning outcomes shared across study-travel experiences:
Identify differences and commonalities of two world societies based on political, economic, social and/or cultural values during each study-travel experience.
- Develop a personal definition of cultural engagement that reflects openness to cultural difference.
