Thoughts on why she chose to serve on the Spelman College Board of Trustees:
I am privileged to serve as a Spelman College trustee for many reasons, including an interest in investing my time in institutes of higher education. The excellence of Spelman as an HBCU and its high standards in providing a superior education for women of color is particularly appealing to me. In addition to many valued friends who have attended Spelman and my high regard for President Tatum, I have been extremely impressed with the young women of Spelman who are current students. Clearly, Spelman is nurturing future women leaders of the world and its many diverse communities.
