Thoughts on why he chose to serve on the Spelman College Board of Trustees:
Service on the Spelman College Board of Trustees is a tremendous honor, responsibility and opportunity. I welcomed the opportunity to associate with this great institution and to contribute to Spelman College's unique mission in our community and in the world. Over my 40 year career I have encountered so many phenomenal Spelman alumnae who excelled in all walks of life. My goal thus becomes to take lessons for other institutions of higher learning from this unique, successful, special model. Spelman College is a magical, magnificent place where hopefully my grand daughters will some day matriculate alongside the many other talented, promising, powerful young women Spelman College serves.
