ATLANTA (Sept. 14, 2012) -- Spelman College department of drama and dance in partnership with NBAF, presenters of the National Black Arts Festival, will host “A Weekend with Urban Bush Women” - two signature events on Sept.21-22, 2012, designed to provide a perspective on the art of dance and the role it has played in activism and creating social change.

ATLANTA (Aug. 16, 2012) -- New York Times best-selling author Pearl Cleage, C’71, has teamed up with award-winning filmmaker Ayoka Chenzira, Ph.D., founder and director of the Spelman College Digital Moving Image Salon, to bring her novels to the screen in what has been dubbed The Pearl Cleage Film Project.
