  • Spelman College SpelBots Demonstrate Cutting-Edge Robotics at UCLA

    ATLANTA (Jan. 28, 2013) – Armed with NXT robots and a NAO humanoid robot, the Spelman College SpelBots team will demonstrate the dexterity of the robot pupils and recount their experiences programming the “virtual agents” to 400 African-American and Hispanic high school students in the Los Angeles Unified School District at UCLA’s “Exploring Computer Science” Day, Jan. 31, 2013.

  • Spelman Museum Invites Broader Reflection About College’s Art Collection

  • Spelman College WISDOM Center Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Ministry Conference and Book Launch

    ATLANTA (Jan. 16, 2013) -- In recognition of its 10th anniversary, the Spelman College WISDOM Center will kick off a yearlong series of initiatives under the banner, “A Legacy of Women in Transformational Ministry,” Feb. 1-3, 2013. The slate of events scheduled includes the release of an anthology and a one-day women’s ministry conference.

  • Spelman Praise Fest Celebration Set for Nov. 9

  • Acclaimed Organist Launches Spelman College Annual Recital Series

    ATLANTA (Nov. 6, 2012) -- Distinguished organist Nathaniel Gumbs will launch the 2012-2013 Spelman College Harreld-James Organ Recital Series, Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Sisters Chapel. The recital, free and open to the public, is presented by the Spelman College Office of the President and the department of music.
