ATLANTA (Sept. 24, 2012) -- Art of Genius, in partnership with Spelman College Digital Moving Image Salon, will host Women Interactive, an inaugural technology festival for women, at the College, Oct. 13, 2012. The festival aims to encourage creatives and the “accidental techie” to be empowered to use technology innovatively for content creation.

ATLANTA (Sept. 21, 2012) -- Author and crisis expert, Judy Smith, the inspiration and co-executive producer of the hit ABC series “Scandal” will discuss her personal and professional journey on Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. in Sisters Chapel at Spelman. The event is free and open to the public.

ATLANTA (Sept. 17, 2012) --Spelman College Cosby Chair, Tananarive Due, presents a discussion with award-winning film director Ava DuVernay on "Black to the Future: Era of the Artist Entrepreneur," Sept. 27, 5p.m., in the Cosby Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

ATLANTA (Sept. 14, 2012) -- Spelman College department of drama and dance in partnership with NBAF, presenters of the National Black Arts Festival, will host “A Weekend with Urban Bush Women” - two signature events on Sept.21-22, 2012, designed to provide a perspective on the art of dance and the role it has played in activism and creating social change.
