Spelman Goes 'Mad': College Vies for Social Madness Crown

Spelman College is going mad! Competing to be one of three social media national champions in the Social Madness competition, the College is vying to win a $10,000 donation.

Hosted by The Business Journals and sponsored by Capital One Spark Business, the challenge, which began June 1, is all about celebrating, supporting and nurturing social-media excellence.

Since the contest began, Spelman has been employing its best social media practice, and will pull no punches to excite and engage its supporters via contests and other activities through its Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. A call for entries was issued in 43 markets a couple months ago, and more than 4,000 entries were received. Spelman made the initial cut.

On Tuesday, June 18, the College will learn if it made it to Round 1, with survivors going into a head-to-head, bracket-style competition-described by The Business Journals as "the social-media version of the National Football League's draft, minicamp and exhibition season rolled into one."

Be sure to vote for Spelman. Click on the “Large Companies” tab, find Spelman College, and click the vote button. Click the Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn tabs to join our social networks. Share this information with others to ensure Spelman College wears the Social Madness crown. The three national winners will each designate their favorite charity to receive the $10,000 donation. Social Madness wraps up in September. Vote today!
